I was lucky enough to work with this amazing family for the second time. I had photographed her first born’s Quinceanera a couple of years before and they booked again for the little sister’s Quince.
GETTING READY – BLUSH PINK DRESS
Like always we started the day at the Quinceanera’s house where we photographed her dress, shoes, bouquet and everything that she was going to wear that day. Like I mentioned before, all decorations were in blush pink. Here you can see her dress, accessories and bouquet; all in the matching tone.
I absolutely loved the sneakers she wore that day because she was able to walk around easily. No need to wear high heel shoes and struggle to move around all day.
Here she is getting her makeup done by @glamtrashmakeupstudio. It was the perfect amount of good looking makeup that lasted all day long.
Her sister helped her to get dressed. I think it’s super important to have people that you feel very comfortable with helping you while you are getting dressed because it’s such an intimate moment.
PHOTO SHOOT AT CORONADO FERRY LANDING
We usually do the photo shoot after the ceremony. However, in this case we did it before the ceremony because it worked better for her timeline. You can totally arrange the events according to your very own timeline.
We did this Quinceanera photo shoot at the Coronado Ferry Landing. The view of the city of San Diego is absolutely amazing!
Also, look at that gorgeous cape!!!
She was accompanied by 5 Chambelanes. They all wore matching vests and bow ties on the same soft blush pink color as the Quinceanera’s dress.
I also love using this green wall by the water. It is a perfect backdrop for pictures and if we get lucky we can get some flowers in full bloom.

CEREMONY AT SAINT PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH
The Ceremony was held at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in North Park. This is a beautiful and cozy church with an amazing wooden ceiling, you can see the view of the altar here:
I love getting at least one picture from the back of the church. Saint Patrick’s it’s perfect for this one, here you can see a part of the wooden beams and the stained glass window.
The Quinceanera walking down the isle to leave the church at the end of the mass is always a great opportunity for joyful pictures, check those out:
After the mass we take pictures of the Quinceanera on her own, with her Chambelanes and with family members and close friends who attended the ceremony.

QUINCEANERA PARTY AT BOULEVARD HALL – PINK BLUSH DECORATIONS
Like I mentioned before this Quince party was held at Boulevard Hall in San Diego, all decorations matched the Quinceanera’s dress.
The entrance was decorated with a big green wall with her name on it, on the table we had her pre Quinceanera picture on a stand and her guestbook for people to sign as they entered the Hall.
The whole Hall was decorated with the Quinceanera colors: soft blush pink, gold and ivory. Here are some pictures of the main table and the floral arrangements used:
The cake table had a blush pink tablecloth and the cakes were arranged at different levels. Here you can see the setup and a closeup of the cake:
The gift table was setup right behind the cake table with matching blush pink table cloths. Here you can see the gifts and the doll:
The tables for the guests were decorated with blush pink table clothes and golden details. Like the plates and center pieces.
The dessert table was wonderful! You can see some of the traditional sweet treats like: cupcakes, cake pops, etc. And on the other side you can see all the Mexican treats from tostilocos to apples covered in chamoy.
After dinner all the Quinceanera traditions started. The Quinceanera did her Grand Entrance accompanied by her mom and she danced with her:
I love photographing the Quinceanera Traditions, they are such an important part of the day and it’s basically the backbone of a Quincenara. Check out the pictures:
Now onto the Vals, this is such an important part of the day because the Quinceanera and her Chambelanes spend a lot of time practicing and preparing for this moment. It was all worth it. Check out the pictures:
After the Waltz, our Quinceanera cut her cake accompanied by her mom:
After the cake cutting, our Quinceanera changed her outfit to a different version of her Quinceanera dress, still in blush pink but shorter and much easier to dance while wearing it.
To wrap up this post I leave you with a picture of the dance floor full of guests dancing and having fun!
